BIO
David Grabowski is a film composer, music producer, and jazz guitarist based in Hamburg.
Deeply influenced by classic Hollywood cinema, his work is driven by a strong sense of
storytelling, emotional nuance, and cinematic atmosphere.

After studying jazz guitar at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, he began
composing for film and television in 2016 alongside co-composer Jonas Nay. Since then,
he has written the scores for numerous feature-length TV films and series, including the
latest season of the acclaimed German drama series Charité.
​
Working from his studio in Hamburg’s historic Medienbunker, Grabowski collaborates with
renowned string ensembles and soloists to create distinctive, emotionally resonant scores.
Combining contemporary sound design with expressive melodic writing, his music ranges
from subtle atmospheric textures to sweeping orchestral themes — always shaped in
close creative dialogue with directors and filmmakers.
